Going digital is simple. There is a choice of ways to go digital. Most of existing TV sets can be adapted with a digital set-top box (a Freeview box) that can convert analogue sets. Alternatively you can replace your old TV with one that has a built-in digital tuner. A new aerial may be required for both options. Freeview allows to receive 40+ TV channels and over 20 radio stations via your TV aerial. This is subscription free service. Freesat is another subscription free service delivered via satellite dish. It offers over 140 TV channels. There is only one-off payment for the equipment and installation.
